Opened in 1866, John Martin's was more than a department store. It was a cherished South Australian institution that served generations of shoppers until its closure in 1998. While the iconic store is gone, the memories remain firmly woven into the fabric of Adelaide.
This exclusive mug features a specially commissioned illustration by local artist Kate Shriner, who has lovingly recreated the store's striking presence on Rundle Mall.
"Even now, the scale and grandeur of this place stays with me. God, I wish I could go back to this time!" says Kate of the project.
